![]() In his recent autobiography entitled Beyond Band of Brothers Memoirs of Major Richard Winters, Richard Winters refers to two men in Easy Company as being "natural killers": Ronald Spiers and Bill Guarnere. Guarnere earned the nickname "Wild Bill" and lived up to it he was terror on the battlefield and had a reckless attitude towards the Germans. He made his first combat jump on D-Day as part of the Allied Invasion of France. William Guarnere joined Easy Company to fight in WW II. This "Band of Brothers" C-47 is signed by William "Wild Bill" Guarnere, one of the original 140 members of Easy Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division.
